The Wimbledon Championships, commonly called Wimbledon, is a tennis tournament organised by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in collaboration with the Lawn Tennis Association annually in Wimbledon, London. ''Micallef Tonight'' was a short-lived Aria Award-winning Australian variety show that aired on the Nine Network in 2003. It was hosted by comedian Shaun Micallef and also featured the talents of Francis Greenslade, Jason Geary, Livinia Nixon and Pete Smith. ''Midday'' (commonly referred to as ''The Midday Show'') is an Australian award-winning daytime television program, based on the variety format that aired on the Nine Network on 11 February 1985 until 27 November 1998. ''The Bert Newton Show'' was an Australian television series which aired from 1959 to 1960. Aired at 6:30PM Saturdays on Melbourne station GTV-9, it was aimed at teenagers and featured acts lip-syncing their songs. It competed with the popular ABC series ''Six O'Clock Rock'' and HSV-7's ''Swallow's Juniors''. It was preceded on GTV's line-up by ''Laurel and Hardy'' and followed by ''Pick a Box''. In 1960, it moved to Thursdays and became ''Hi-Fi Club'', running for several more months. The Don Lane Show
''The Don Lane Show'' was an Australian television talk show which aired twice a week on the Nine Network from 1975 to 1983. The show was created by Don Lane who co-hosted it with Bert Newton. Channel Nine was reluctant to cast Bert Newton, who had been associated with Graham Kennedy, but Lane insisted that he wanted Newton to do the show. Lane is quoted as saying: I used to watch him and Graham working on IMT, and look at them with great envy. So I said 'what about Bert Newton?' If I’m going to work with somebody I want to know that he's as sharp as anything and a real pro. ''The Graham Kennedy Show'' was an Australian variety and comedy tonight show which debuted on 19 September 1972 on the Nine Network. On 23 December 1969, host Graham Kennedy quit as host of '' In Melbourne Tonight'' (IMT) due to exhaustion and rested for two years. In spite of his fame and fortune, he later described that period as "years of misery". After specials on 15 November 1971 and 2 March 1972, he returned with this series produced by Bob Phillips and Peter Faiman.
