Nigel David Jones, Baron Jones of Cheltenham (30 March 1948 – 7 November 2022) was a British Liberal Democrat politician who served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from the 1992 general election until the 2005 general election, and as a member of the House of Lords from 2005 until his death in 2022. Early life Nigel Jones was born in Cheltenham on 30 March 1948. He attended Prince Henry's Grammar School, Evesham. After leaving school, he worked as a computer operator for Westminster Bank from 1965 to 1967, and then as a computer programmer at International Computers Limited (ICL) from 1967 to 1970. From 1970 to 1971, he worked as a systems analyst at Vehicle and General Insurance, and as a systems programmer at Atkins Computing, before he rejoined ICL as a project manager in 1971. Nigel Geoffrey Jones (born 22 April 1982) is a New Zealand-born Irish cricketer. Jones is a right-handed batsman (cricket), batsman who bowls right-arm Seam bowling, medium pace. Jones plays international cricket for Ireland national cricket team, Ireland. He was born in Timaru, New Zealand. Jones made his List-A cricket, List-A debut for Ireland against Jamaica national cricket team, Jamaica on Irish cricket team in the West Indies in 2010, their tour of the West Indies in 2010. He made his Twenty20 debut when Ireland played Sri Lanka A cricket team, Sri Lanka A in the 2010 Quadrangular Twenty20 Series in Sri Lanka. Nigel Mazlyn Jones
Nigel Mazlyn Jones (born 26 June 1950) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter. Early life He was born in Dudley, Worcestershire, England, where he did part-time work at Dudley Zoo from the age of 12. In 1969, he moved to Jersey, to work full-time with the apes at Jersey Zoo (now Durrell Wildlife Park), but "watching people watching animals taught me conservation in the wild is essential" and relocated to north Cornwall, to make his living as a musician. He has been an active campaigner on local community issues in Cornwall, notably as part of the Lowermoor Support Group for people affected by the Camelford water pollution incident.
