Nicola Williams (barrister)
Nicola Williams is a British barrister specialising in criminal law. Since 2009, she has been a part-time Crown Court Judge sitting on the London and South Eastern Circuit. She was the first Service Complaints Ombudsman for the British Armed Forces, UK Armed Forces. In that role she urged the Ministry of Defence (United Kingdom), Ministry of Defence to tackle racism in the armed forces. She has highlighted concern at the delay, and the failure to meet the target of 90% of Service complaints to be resolved in a timely fashion; and the disproportionate number of women, black and ethnic minority Service personnel making complaints. Williams was Complaints Commissioner for the Cayman Islands from 2009 to 2014. Nicola Jane Williams (born 4 June 1982) is an Australian association Association football, football (soccer) coach and former player. Nicola Williams holds an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Football Australia "PRO" Coaching Licence accreditation and UEFA A Licence from Coverciano in Italy. Career Prior to the commencement of the Australian W-League, Williams played for the State School girls, WA State Women's Team and the Western Waves FC, Western Waves in the Australian Women's National Soccer League until 2005. She captained National Premier League team Northern Redbacks. Nicole Williams (born 1983), known as Bonnie Thunders, is a roller derby skater. Widely considered to be the greatest player of modern roller derby, Bonnie Thunders has been referred to by multiple writers as "the LeBron James of roller derby". Early life Williams grew up in Rome, New York, where she was a four-year varsity soccer player at Rome Free Academy, before studying conservation biology with the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, linked to Syracuse University. She was a leading member of the college's synchronized skating squad, the Syracuse Orange Experience, and also spent time playing soccer competitively. The American animated television series ''Craig of the Creek'' features a cast created by Matt Burnett and Ben Levin.
