Nicholas O'Callaghan
The Conference USA Men's Soccer Player of the Year was an annual award given to the best overall player in Conference USA (C-USA) during the NCAA Division I men's soccer season. From C-USA's formation in 1995 until the conference dissolved its men's soccer league after the 2021 season, the Conference awarded the season's best offensive player with Offensive Player of the Year and the best defensive player with the Defensive Player of the Year. Starting in 2009, the additional Player of the Year award was created to recognize the best overall player. SMU Mustangs Men's Soccer
The SMU Mustangs men's soccer team represents Southern Methodist University in men's college soccer. The team currently competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Mustangs made their most recent appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2024. In 2024 the Mustangs reached their fourteenth Elite Eight before falling to No.13 Seed Marshall 3–2. The Mustangs have been one of the top men's collegiate sides in the NCAA since being founded in 1975, and are regularly featured in Top 25 polls. The Mustangs used to be coached by former FC Dallas and current Grand Canyon University coach Schellas Hyndman. Current FC Dallas coach Luchi Gonzalez played for the Mustangs from 1998 to 2001. Bruno Ernesto Guarda (born February 6, 1986), also known as Peter Jackson and DJ - BG is a Brazilian footballer who last played for the Dallas Sidekicks in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career College Guarda moved to the United States in high school, and attended The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas, before playing college soccer for Southern Methodist University, where he was named to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region first team in 2006, and was a Hermann Trophy semi-finalist and the Conference USA Player of the Year in both 2006 and 2007. The UAB Blazers men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. As of the upcoming 2022 season, the college soccer program competes in the NCAA Division I American Athletic Conference (The American). History UAB began a men's soccer program back in 1979. Kyle Parker (born December 17, 1993) is an American soccer player who most recently played for the Wilmington Hammerheads in the USL. 2019 Marshall Thundering Herd Men's Soccer Team
The 2019 Marshall Thundering Herd men's soccer team represented Marshall University during the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It is the 41st season of the university fielding a men's varsity soccer program. The Thundering Herd, led by third-year head coach Chris Grassie, played their home games at Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex as members of Conference USA. The 2019 season proved to be the program's most successful season at the time.
