Nicholas Murphy (Gaelic Footballer)
Nicholas Murphy (born 23 April 1978 in Carrigaline, County Cork) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays Gaelic football with his local club Carrigaline and was a member of the Cork senior inter-county team between 1998 and 2012. Playing career Club Murphy plays his club hurling and football with his local club in Carrigaline and has enjoyed some success. He first came to prominence with the club in the early 1990s as part of the minor football team that qualified for back-to-back county finals in 1995 and 1996. Murphy ended up on the losing side on both occasions. He ended up on the losing side in a number of county intermediate football finals also in the early 2000s, before winning the Cork Intermediate A Football Championship title in 2009. In 2015, he helped the club to win the Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship after a win over St Michael's. Nicholas Daniel Murphy
Nicholas Daniel Murphy (1811– 6 January 1889) was an Irish politician from Cork. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1865 to 1880. Standing as a Liberal, he was elected to the Parliament of the United Kingdom at a by-election on 14 February 1865 for Cork City, after the resignation from the House of Commons of the Liberal MP Francis Lyons. He was re-elected unopposed at the general election in July 1865, and held the seat against Irish Conservative Party candidates at the 1868 general election. Nicholas Joseph Murphy (1880 – 27 April 1913) was an Irish nationalist politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) for South Kilkenny from 1907 to 1909. His parents were publican and grocers, Nicholas became a Grocer and Spirit Merchant. He was educated at St. Kieran's College. He was elected unopposed as an Irish Parliamentary Party MP for South Kilkenny at the 1907 by-election, following the resignation of James O'Mara who joined Sinn Féin. The Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel is a parish church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 10 Austin Place, Staten Island, New York City. Nicholas Jon Murphy (born October 22, 1979) was an American football punter with four years spent between the National Football League (NFL) and NFL Europa. Two of these three years were spent playing in Europe. Early life and career Murphy was born in Saint Louis, Missouri.
