Nicholas Bennett (historian)
Nicholas Bennett (8 May 1823 – 18 August 1899) was a Welsh historian and musician. He was born on 8 May 1823, in Glanrafon, Trefeglwys. His collection of musical works included over 700 Welsh airs. His wrote the songs "Y Cerddor" and "Songs of the Four Nations". He died on 18 August 1899, aged 76, and is buried in Llanfihangel, Trefeglwys. References

Nicholas Bennett (politician)
Cllr Nicholas Jerome Bennett JP (born 7 May 1949) is a British politician and a former Mayor of the London Borough of Bromley. A member of the Conservative Party, he served as a member of parliament (MP) from 1987 to 1992 representing the constituency of Pembrokeshire, and was a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Welsh Office from 1990 to 1992. In that role he had responsibility for the Welsh Health Service, Social Services, Housing and Local Government, Water and Sport. Career Bennett was born in Hampstead, London. He was a school teacher from 1976 to 1985, and also worked for a period in educational publishing. Bennett was a Conservative Councillor in the London Borough of Lewisham from 1974 to 1982, serving as the Leader of the Opposition in the Borough from 1979 to 1981.
