Owned by Jimmy Lai, the magazine was the number one news magazine in both markets in terms of audited circulation and AC Nielsen reports. A Taiwanese version of ''Next Magazine'' was published from 2001 to 2018, and the online version of Taiwan's ''Next Magazine'' ended in 2020.
