The New York City Transit Authority (also known as NYCTA, the TA, or simply Transit, and branded as MTA New York City Transit) is a public-benefit corporation in the U.S. state of New York that operates public transportation in New York City. Part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the busiest and largest transit system in North America, the NYCTA has a daily ridership of 8million trips (over 2.5billion annually). MTA Regional Bus Operations
MTA Regional Bus Operations (RBO) is the Public transport bus service, bus operations division of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City. The MTA operates local, limited-stop, express, and Select Bus Service (bus rapid transit) services across the city of New York, forming a key part of Transportation in New York City, the city's transportation system. The system's fleet of over 5,000 buses is the largest in the United States, and many of Lists of bus routes in New York City, its over 300 routes operate 24/7 service, 24/7. MTA Regional Bus Operations was formed in 2008 to consolidate the MTA's bus operations, which currently consist of two operating companies.
