Netzarim Junction
The Netzarim Junction is a road intersection in the central part of the Gaza Strip. It is formed by the intersection of Route 749 (running east-west, built by the IDF) within the Netzarim Corridor with Salah al-Din Road (running north-south, and one of the Gaza Strip's two main such roads). It was named after the former Israeli settlement of Netzarim. On November 12, 1994, the Netzarim Junction bicycle bombing occurred. This killed three soldiers, six Israeli servicemen, and six Palestinians. In response, the Palestinian police cracked down and arrested over 100 Islamic militants. On September 30, 2000, the killing of Muhammad al-Durrah occurred at the junction. However, Richard Landes, writing for ''Tablet'', suggests that the incident was staged. Gaza Strip

Route 749 (Gaza)
Route 749 (), also known as the Cross-Gaza Highway () or Netzarim Corridor () is an east–west road in the Gaza Strip, bisecting the strip into northern and southern parts. The road was built by the Israeli Defense Forces during the Gaza war in 2023 to facilitate Israeli military operations within the Strip. Route and purpose The road begins near Kibbutz Be'eri in Israel and travels west through the entire Gaza Strip before reaching the Mediterranean Sea. The road is parallel to the northern border of the strip, bisecting the area into north and south. According to the commander of the IDF's 601st Battalion, the purpose of the route is the to "protect the area, advance towards enemy territory, prevent the passage from the south to the north and to control it very precisely". Salah al-Din Road (), also known as Salaheddin Road and the Salah ad-Deen Highway, is the main highway of the Gaza Strip, a territory of the State of Palestine. Netzarim (settlement)
Netzarim () was an Israeli settlement in the Gaza Strip about 5 kilometers southwest of Gaza City. It was established in 1972. In August 2005, the inhabitants of Netzarim were evicted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as part of Israel's unilateral disengagement plan. History It was initially established in 1972 as a military base on the outskirts of Gaza City. It began as a secular Nahal (Young Pioneer) outpost of the Hashomer Hatzair movement; in 1984 it became an orthodox kibbutz. Netzarim Junction Bicycle Bombing
The Netzarim Junction bicycle bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on November 11, 1994, at the Netzarim Junction, an Israeli Army checkpoint located in the Gaza Strip. In the attack, three Israeli soldiers were killed and six Israeli soldiers and six Palestinians were wounded. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack. Attack On Friday, November 11, 1994, a Palestinian cyclist detonated explosives strapped to his body as he rode his bicycle into an Israeli Army checkpoint. Killing Of Muhammad Al-Durrah
On 30 September 2000, the second day of the Second Intifada, 12-year-old Muhammad al-Durrah () was killed at the Netzarim Junction in the Gaza Strip during widespread protests and riots across the Palestinian territories against Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Israeli military occupation. Jamal al-Durrah and his son Muhammad were filmed by Talal Abu Rahma, a Palestinian television cameraman freelancing for France 2, as they were caught in crossfire between the Israeli military and Palestinian security forces.
