Network Of Educational Television
The Network of Educational Television (, abbreviated as NETV) was the first television station in Taiwan under the National Education Archives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China. It was also a member of the Taiwan Public Radio and Television Group and the predecessor of China Television Corporation (CTV). Educational Television was an experimental station with a limited viewing area, so it is not considered Taiwan's first television station by most histories of Taiwanese television. Strictly speaking, NETV was Taiwan's first non-commercial, purely educational experimental television station. It was later succeeded by the current CTS Main Channel. Chinese Television System
The Chinese Television System Inc. () is a terrestrial television station in Taiwan and was founded in 1971. Recent milestones of the network are in sports events, including having the distinction to offer exclusive coverage of the 2017 Universiade, which was held in Taipei. This included airing the opening and closing ceremonies, plus major games, and it enabled its YouTube channel with several options to watch the rest of the games. The Central News Agency (CNA) is the national news agency of the Republic of China (Taiwan). History The CNA agency was founded , by the Kuomintang. Party member Hsiao Tung-tzu separated the CNA from Kuomintang headquarters in 1932. The agency's headquarters was originally located in Guangzhou in Guangdong province, but had to be relocated to Taipei in 1949, following the defeat of the Republic of China government in mainland China in the Chinese Civil War. Despite the corporatisation of the agency in 1973, it continued to receive heavy government subsidies, and remained the nation's official agency. At the time, CNA journalists received preferential treatment on various occasions, mostly government-related press conferences. Chiang Ching-kuo (, 27 April 1910 – 13 January 1988) was a politician of the Republic of China. The eldest and only biological son of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, he held numerous posts in the government of the Republic of China and ended Martial law in Taiwan, martial law in 1987. He served as the third premier of the Republic of China between 1972 and 1978 and was the third president of the Republic of China from 1978 until his death in 1988. Wang Sheng (general)
Wang Sheng (; October 15, 1915 – October 5, 2006) was a general in the Republic of China Army from 1970, head of the General Political Warfare Department (總政治作戰部), and a close confidant to President Chiang Ching-kuo. As the Director of the General Political Warfare Department, which was responsible for secret military and intelligence operations from 1975 to 1983, Wang was the second most powerful person in Taiwan after President Chiang Ching-kuo as he led the "Liu Shaokang Office" (劉少康辦公室) which was described as the inner court of the Kuomintang party headquarters, and he was rumoured to be the successor to Chiang. Xindian District
Xindian District () is an inner city District (Taiwan), district in the southern part of New Taipei City, Taiwan. Name Xindian's name originated during the Qing Dynasty close to 300 years ago. According to legend, a person named Lin and others came from Quanzhou, Fujian, Fujian Province.
