Neil Carter (cricketer)
Neil Miller Carter (born 29 January 1975), is a South African-born cricketer who has played international cricket for Scotland. He previously played county cricket for Warwickshire. He went to Hottentots Holland High School and played for Boland before moving to Warwickshire. Carter completed 1,000 first class runs for Warwickshire during the match against Sussex at Edgbaston in 2005. He joined Middlesex on a loan deal in 2008, and played in the Stanford Super Series The Stanford Super Series was a series of Twenty20 cricket matches in 2008, sponsored by Allen Stanford. The main game of the Series matched the English national cricket team against an all-star team from the Caribbean, called the Stanford Supe .... Neil Carter (musician)
Neil Andrew Carter (born 11 May 1958) is an English musician who has worked in diverse genres throughout his career. Classically trained, he became a professional rock musician at the age of 17 and initially had his first "mainstream" experience with singer-songwriter Gilbert O'Sullivan. He subsequently played guitar and keyboard for the hard rock band UFO (from 1980 until their first breakup in 1983), guitarist Gary Moore, and Wild Horses. He is credited for co-writing a number of Gary Moore's songs including the worldwide hit "Empty Rooms". At 30 he left the rock world and developed a different career as a of woodwind (saxophone and clarinet). He became a music examiner for ABRSM in 2003. 2010 saw an unexpected return to rock with Gary Moore, playing festivals across Europe and a tour of Ukraine and Russia. Neil Carter is a British political scientist based at the University of York. Carter graduated in Politics from Durham University and completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Bath. Neil Carter is a fictional character from the British BBC Radio 4 soap opera, ''The Archers''. The character was introduced in February 1973 by producer Tony Shryane and has gone from a naïve teenager to a pillar of the local community. He has remained on the show for years, making Hewlett one of the longest-serving soap opera actors in the world. Neil is the husband of Susan Carter, and father to Emma Grundy and Christopher Carter. He is also the grandfather of George and Keira Grundy and Martha Carter. He has been involved in many storylines, mainly centred around his job as a pig farmer and his family, including being elected to the parish council and the imprisonment of his wife Susan in 1993 for harbouring her criminal brother, Clive. Neal Carter is an American politician who has served as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from the 15th legislative district since 2023. He previously represented the 8th legislative district from 2021 to 2023. He was appointed to the seat after incumbent Representative Frank Pratt died while in office.
