Naval Historical Team
The Naval Historical Team (NHT) was established by the US Navy in 1949. It was a group of German naval officers under American orders to reappraise the naval war history of World War II from the German perspective. The group was under control of the Office of Naval Intelligence. At the end of 1952, the NHT was disbanded but it was re-established in Karlsruhe in 1954. Eberhard Godt
Eberhard Godt (15 August 1900 – 13 September 1995) was a German naval officer who served in both World War I and World War II, eventually rising to command the ''Kriegsmarine''s U-boat operations. The Soviet Navy was the naval warfare Military, uniform service branch of the Soviet Armed Forces. Hans-Rudolf Rösing
Hans-Rudolf Rösing (28 September 1905 – 16 December 2004) was a German U-boat commander in World War II and later served in the Bundesmarine of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, of Nazi Germany. Early life and pre-war service Rösing was born on 28 September 1905 in Wilhelmshaven, at the time an exclave of the Province of Hanover, a province of the Kingdom of Prussia. He was the son of '' Vizeadmiral'' Bernhard Rösing (1869–1947) and his wife Elfriede, née Wünsche (1882–1961). Captain is the name most often given in English-speaking navies to the rank corresponding to command of the largest ships. The rank is equal to the army rank of colonel and air force rank of group captain.
