National Planning Commission Of Namibia
The National Planning Commission of Namibia is an agency of the Namibian government responsible for planning national priorities and directing the course of national development. The commission is chaired by a Director-General, and includes the Ministers of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Finance, Trade and Industry, Works and Transport, Regional and Local Government, and Housing and Rural Development, plus eight other people with knowledge and experience of development in economic, social, ecological or other related fields. Namibia
Namibia (, ), officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in Southern Africa. Its western border is the Atlantic Ocean. It shares land borders with Zambia and Angola to the north, Botswana to the east and South Africa to the south and east. Saara Kuugongelwa
Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila (born 12 October 1967) is the Prime Minister of Namibia, in office since 21 March 2015. Kuugongelwa-Amadhila is a member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO). She has been a member of the National Assembly of Namibia since 1995 and served as Minister of Finance from 2003 to 2015. She is the first woman to serve as Prime Minister of Namibia. Early life and education Saara Kuugongelwa was born on 12 October 1967 in Otamanzi, South West Africa (present day Namibia). She went into exile with SWAPO in 1980 at the age of 13 and left for Sierra Leone in 1982 at the age of 15. She attended Koidu Girls Secondary School from 1982 to 1984 and Saint Joseph's Secondary School from 1984 to 1987. Helmut Angula
Helmut Pau Kangulohi Angula (born 11 November 1945) is a Namibian businessman, politician, former cabinet minister and writer. He is currently the director of various private companies, after leaving government in 2010, and a longtime member of the central committee and the politburo of the ruling SWAPO party. Biography Angula was born in Ontananga, Oshikoto Region, and joined SWAPO in 1963, just three years after the movement's founding. Angula holds a M.Sc Degree from Voronezh State University in the USSR. During his time with SWAPO, Angula served as the deputy principal of the Health and Education Center in Nyango, Zambia from 1975–1976 and then rose to director of the center until 1977. From 1977- 1986 he was SWAPO chief representative to Cuba, the Caribbean and Latin America, and from 1986 to 1989 served as the SWAPO permanent observer at the United Nations in New York, and as the chief representative to North America. Tom Alweendo
Thomas Kavaningilamo Alweendo (born 17 March 1958 in Omusheshe, Oshana Region) is a Namibian politician who has been Minister of Mines and Energy since 2018. In 1997, he became the first Namibian Governor of the Bank of Namibia when he replaced Jafaar bin Ahmad of Malaysia. In 2010, Alweendo was appointed to lead the National Planning Commission. When Hage Geingob took office as president in March 2015, he confirmed Alweendo in his position. In a cabinet reshuffle in February 2018, Alweendo became Minister of Mines and Energy, swapping positions with Obeth Kandjoze. Education Alweendo earned a bachelor's degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom.
