Nasim Khan (cricketer, Born 1976)
Mohammad Nasim Khan (born 1 June 1976) is a Pakistani former cricketer. Khan was a left-handed batsman who bowled slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Quetta, Balochistan Province. He is also known as Mohammad Naseem. Having made his List A debut for Quetta in the 1998/99 Tissot Cup against Hyderabad, a tournament in which he made five appearances for the team, Khan made his first-class debut for Pakistan Customs against Lahore City in the 1999/00 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. In that same season he also made his List A debut for Pakistan Customs against Karachi Whites in the 1999/00 Tissot Cup. Khan made a total of 30 first-class appearances for the team between the 1999/00 and 2004/05 seasons, scoring a total of 1,430 runs at an average of 36.66, with a highest score of 127. This score, which was one of two first-class centuries he made for the team, came against the Water and Power Development Authority in 1999. Quetta
Quetta is the capital and largest city of the Pakistani province of Balochistan. It is the ninth largest city in Pakistan, with an estimated population of over 1.6 million in 2024. Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket competition in Pakistan. With few exceptions, it has been staged annually since it was first played during the 1953–54 season. Domestic cricket in Pakistan has undergone many reorganisations, with the number of teams and matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy changing regularly. It has been variously contested by associations or departments, or a combination of the two. Since 2019 it has been contested by regional teams only. Twenty20 (abbreviated T20) is a shortened format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of twenty over (cricket), overs. Together with First-class cricket, first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being played at the highest level, both internationally and domestically. Minor Counties Of English And Welsh Cricket
The National Counties, known as the Minor Counties before 2020, are the cricketing counties of England and Wales that do not have first-class status. The game is administered by the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), which comes under the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) cricket team is a first-class cricket side in Pakistan that plays in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Patron's Trophy, Pentangular Trophy and also competes in limited-overs cricket. It is owned by the Water and Power Development Authority, the national body responsible for the development and maintenance of water and power resources in Pakistan.
