Nanana (Karmen Stavec Song)
Slovenia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the song "Nanana", composed by Martin Štibernik, with lyrics by Karmen Stavec, and performed by Karmen herself. The Slovene participating broadcaster, (RTVSLO), held the national final in order to select its entry for the contest. Sixteen entries competed in the national final where the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, the top three entries were selected following the combination of votes from a five-member jury panel and a public televote. In the second round, "" performed by Karmen Stavec was selected as the winner entirely by a public televote. The song was later translated from Slovene to English for Eurovision and was titled "Nanana". Slovenia competed in the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 24 May 2003. Slovenia has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 30 times since its debut in , having hosted a qualification round (Kvalifikacija za Millstreet) in Ljubljana for seven countries due to the influx of new nations wishing to join the contest. TV SLO 2, or TV Slovenija 2 is a Slovenian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by (RTVSLO). It is the organization's second television channel, and is known for specialized programming, aiming at limited audiences, as well as airing television series and sporting events. Skonto Hall (also known as Skonto Arena) is an arena in Riga, Latvia. In the lobby of Skonto there are conference halls, a gym, and an arena with an Artificial turf, artificial football field, which also hosts numerous exhibitions and concerts. The multi-purpose hall was originally built in 1996 and can accommodate either 2,000 seated spectators or 8,000 standing spectators. It is immediately adjacent to Skonto Stadium. Paul Henri de Leeuw (born 26 March 1962) is a Dutch television comedian, singer and actor. De Leeuw gained national fame in the late eighties and early nineties with television shows for broadcasting company VARA. He often came into publicity with satire about Dutch show business personalities and taboo subject matter. Andreas "Andi" Knoll (born 11 June 1972 in Innsbruck) is an Austrian radio and television presenter. He has served as the Austrian commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest since 1999. Marija Naumova
Marija Naumova-Bullīta (born 23 June 1973), known professionally as Marija Naumova, is a Latvian singer. Under the stage name Marie N, she sings a broad range of music ranging from pop to musical theatre and jazz, and has recorded several albums, with songs in Latvian, French, English, Russian and Portuguese. Anja Rupel
Anja Rupel (born 19 March 1966) is a Slovene pop singer, songwriter, radio announcer, and journalist. Her father, Fedja Rupel, is a flautist and a professor at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, and her uncle is the politician and diplomat Dimitrij Rupel. Rupel has been involved in music since childhood. She played the flute for over ten years. In 1982, she began to perform as lead vocalist with the prominent synthpop group Videosex, which became very popular in the former Yugoslavia. The group recorded four albums. Jure Robežnik
Jure Robežnik (23 August 1933 – 7 October 2022) was a Slovenian pianist and composer; his focus was on jazz and popular music. Despite possessing no musical education, he authored over one hundred and fifty musical pieces. Robežnik completed studies of German language in 1958 in Ljubljana.
