Najm Al-Din Al-Khabushani
Najm al-Din Abu'l-Barakat Muhammad ibn al-Muwaffaq ibn Sa'id ibn Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Abdallah al-Khabushani was a Shafi'i jurist () of Persians, Persian origin who was active in Egypt. According to Ibn Khallikan, he was born on 13 Rajab 510 Anno Hegirae, AH (21 November 1116) in the environs of Khabushan (modern Quchan). He studied jurisprudence under Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Janzi. He settled in Fustat, Egypt, then ruled by the Isma'ili Shi'a Fatimid Caliphate. There he lived as an ascetic. When Saladin became vizier (Fatimid Caliphate), vizier of the Fatimid Caliphate, Najm al-Din rose in his favour and became his close friend and advisor. He was among the chief proponents of a juridical opinion that urged Saladin to depose and even execute the last Fatimid caliph, al-Adid, on account of his heretical beliefs and those of his family. Shafi'i
The Shafi'i school or Shafi'i Madhhab () or Shafi'i is one of the four major schools of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), belonging to the Ahl al-Hadith tradition within Sunni Islam. It was founded by the Muslim scholar, jurist, and traditionist al-Shafi'i (), "the father of Muslim jurisprudence", in the early 9th century. The other three schools of Sunnī jurisprudence are Ḥanafī, Mālikī and Ḥanbalī. Like the other schools of fiqh, Shafii recognize the First Four Caliphs as the Islamic prophet Muhammad's rightful successors and relies on the Qurʾān and the "sound" books of Ḥadīths as primary sources of law. Al-Adid
Abū Muḥammad ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yūsuf ibn al-Ḥāfiẓ (; 1151–1171), better known by his regnal name al-ʿĀḍid li-Dīn Allāh (), was the fourteenth and last caliph of the Fatimid dynasty, and the twenty-fourth imam of the Hafizi Isma'ili branch of Shi'a Islam, reigning from 1160 to 1171. Like his two immediate predecessors, al-Adid came to the throne as a child, and spent his reign as a puppet of various strongmen who occupied the vizierate. He was a mostly helpless bystander to the slow collapse of the Fatimid Caliphate. Tala'i ibn Ruzzik, the vizier who had raised al-Adid to the throne, fell victim to a palace plot in 1161, and was replaced by his son, Ruzzik ibn Tala'i. Ibn Jubayr (1 September 1145 – 29 November 1217; ), also written Ibn Jubair, Ibn Jobair, and Ibn Djubayr, was an Arab geographer, traveller and poet from al-Andalus. His travel chronicle describes the pilgrimage he made to Mecca from 1183 to 1185, in the years preceding the Third Crusade. Al-Shafi'i (; ;767–820 CE) was a Muslim scholar, jurist, muhaddith, traditionist, theologian, ascetic, and eponym of the Shafi'i school of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence. Mausoleum Of Imam Al-Shafi'i
The Mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi'i () is a mausoleum dedicated to al-Shafi'i, founder of the homonymous school () of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence. Located at the Imam Shafi'i Street in the City of the Dead, Cairo, the mausoleum is a hallmark of Ayyubid style architecture and historical significance. Imam al-Shafi'i travelled to Cairo in 813, where he taught at the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As, before his death in 819.
