Nahwa Al-Majd
Nahwa al-Majd ( ar, نحو المجد, , ''Towards Glory'') is an Egyptian 1949 romance film directed by Hussein Sidqi who also stars as the lead protagonist, Khalid, in the film. Faten Hamama and Kamal Al-Shennawi also starred in Nahwa al-Majd as Suhair and Khalid's father respectively. Plot After Khalid's father abandons his family for another woman, he falls in love with Suhair, a friend. He struggles to overcome his personal challenges and consequently succeeds in graduating from a law school. After deciding to take up work in the farm owned by Suhair's family, a bitter relationship is caused between him and Suhair's father. Khalid manages to win the case, and finally marries Suhair, who had supported him all along. Faten Hamama
Faten Ahmed Hamama ( ar, فاتن حمامه ; 27 May 1931 – 17 January 2015) was an Egyptian film and television actress and film producer. She was the first wife of Ezz El-Dine Zulficar. She made her screen debut in 1939, when she was only seven years old. Her earliest roles were minor, but her activity and gradual success helped to establish her as a distinguished Egyptian actress. Later revered as an icon in Egyptian cinema. In 1996, nine of the films she starred in were included in the Top hundred films in the history of Egyptian cinema by the cinema critics of Cairo International Film Festival.
