Nacho Martín (footballer, Born 1962)
Ignacio "Nacho" Martín Solanas (born 10 July 1962) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a central defender, and a manager. Playing career Born in Logroño, La Rioja, Martín finished his formation with CD Berceo, and made his senior debut with CD Logroñés in 1982. The following year he joined Segunda División side FC Barcelona Atlètic, and made his professional debut on 3 September of that year by starting in a 3–1 home win against Deportivo de La Coruña. Martín scored his first goal on 20 January 1985, netting the first in a 2–1 home win against Castilla CF. The following July he moved to fellow league team Real Murcia, but appeared rarely. In 1986 Martín returned to Logroñés, now in the second tier. He achieved promotion to La Liga as an undisputed starter, and made his debut in the category on 29 August 1987 by starting in a 0–2 away loss against Valencia CF. Logroño
Logroño ( , , ) is the capital of the autonomous community of La Rioja (Spain), La Rioja, Spain. Miguel Ángel Lotina
Miguel Ángel Lotina Oruechebarría (; born 18 June 1957) is a Spanish professional manager and former footballer who played as a striker. His playing career was spent mostly with Logroñés, whom he represented in the Segunda División, also playing for Castellón in La Liga. In a managerial career of over three decades, Lotina led seven clubs in the top flight, starting with Logroñés. He won the Copa del Rey with Espanyol in 2006 and the UEFA Intertoto Cup with Deportivo in 2008. He later worked in Cyprus, Qatar and for four teams in Japan. Playing career Born in Meñaka, Biscay, Lotina started playing football with local Gernika Club, representing CD Castellón from 1981 to 1983. Tercera División () was the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system. Until 1977, it was the third tier of the Spanish football league system. Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. 1986–87 Segunda División
The 1986–87 Segunda División season saw 18 teams participate in the second flight Spanish league. It was the longest season ever in Spanish football. The league was reduced to 18 teams and had two phases. In the first one all 18 teams played each other twice (home and away). At the end of the first phase, the first twelve teams qualified for promotion groups (Group A1 for teams that finished in an odd position and Group A2 for teams that finished in an even position) and the last six qualified for the relegation group (Group B). In the second phase, teams played only against teams of the same group twice (home and away) and carried their first phase record. Champions of promotion groups (Valencia CF and Celta de Vigo) and the best second placed team (CD Logroñés) were promoted to Primera División.
