Nota (film)
''NOTA'' () is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language political thriller film directed by Anand Shankar. It stars Vijay Deverakonda, making his Tamil debut, playing the lead role along with Mehreen Pirzada. Sathyaraj, Nassar, Sanchana Natarajan, Karunakaran, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Yashika Aannand, M. S. Bhaskar, and Rajendran, among others portray supporting roles. Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, under his production house Studio Green, the film was adapted from the novel ''Vettattam'' by Shan Karuppusamy who is also involved in the film's screenplay. The film revolves around Varun, the son of a chief minister, who rises to his father's position after corruption charges are brought against him. Varun, who has no political experience, soon finds himself stuck to the chair for a longer time. The musical score and soundtrack were composed by Sam C. Anand Shankar
Anand Shankar is an Indian film director and screenwriter, primarily working in Tamil films. Shankar started his career as an assistant director to Siddharth Anand in ''Anjaana Anjaani'' (2010). He also assisted producer-director AR Murugadoss in movies such as ''Thuppakki'' and ''7 Aum Arivu''. He successfully finished his work as debut director on ''Arima Nambi'' starring Vikram Prabhu and Priya Anand, a Tamil thriller film. He directed ''Iru Mugan'' and Arima Nambi, both of them became blockbusters at the box-office. In 2018, he directed '' NOTA'', starring Vijay Devarkonda in his Tamil debut. 2015 South Indian Floods
The 2015 South India floods resulted from heavy rainfall generated by the annual northeast monsoon in November–December 2015. The Nadigar Sangam (), officially known as the South Indian Artistes' Association (), is a Trade union, union for film, television, and stage (theatre), stage actors in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, based in Chennai. Formed in 1952, the group has a charitable trust fund to provide pensions to retired actors, voice support for actors caught in controversy, and have collectively protested socio-political issues. Elections in the Nadigar Sangam, which is made up of over 3000 members, are held once every three years to determine the president of the group. R.
