Swedish National Academy Of Mime And Acting
The National Academy of Mime and Acting (NAMA) (), was a school in Stockholm for acting and mime. This institution was also known under additional different names in English, including Stockholm University College of Acting and Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. The school offered programmes in acting and mime, as well as various shorter courses. The school originated in the acting school founded in 1787 on the initiative of King Gustav III and long appended to the Royal Dramatic Theatre. The Royal Dramatic Training Academy produced many later famous actors and directors, including Greta Garbo, Gustaf Molander, Alf Sjöberg, Ingrid Bergman, Signe Hasso, Gunnar Björnstrand, Max von Sydow and Bibi Andersson. Nama Language
Khoekhoe or Khoikhoi ( ; , ), also known by the ethnic terms Nama ( ; ''Namagowab''), Damara (''ǂNūkhoegowab''), or Nama/Damara and formerly as Hottentot, is the most widespread of the non- Bantu languages of Southern Africa that make heavy use of click consonants and therefore were formerly classified as Khoisan, a grouping now recognized as obsolete. It belongs to the Khoe language family, and is spoken in Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa primarily by three ethnic groups: Namakhoen, ǂNūkhoen, and Haiǁomkhoen. Nama People
Nama (in older sources also called Namaqua) are an African ethnic group of South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. They traditionally speak the Khoekhoe language, Nama language of the Khoe languages, Khoe-Kwadi language family, although many Nama also speak Afrikaans. The Nama People (or Nama-Khoe people) are the largest group of the Khoekhoe people, many of whom have disappeared as a group. Many of the Nama clans live in Central Namibia and the other smaller groups live in Namaqualand, which today straddles the Namibian border with South Africa. Mingjian Township is a rural township in western Nantou County, Taiwan. It is the second smallest township in the county, after Jiji Township. Name and etymology The name Mingjian originates from a Japanese transliteration of the original Taiwanese Hokkien name, Làm-á (), with literal meaning "a very wet place". In 1920, during Japanese rule, the name was changed to which closely matched the Taiwanese pronunciation but with different ''kanji'' (Chinese characters) for the name. This written form was retained after the Kuomintang takeover of Taiwan in 1945; the characters are pronounced ''Bêng-kan'' and ''Míngjiān'' in Taiwanese and Mandarin Chinese, respectively. Nama or Nema is an island and municipality in the state of Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. It is a 1.5 km long and 0.5 km wide island part of the Eastern Islands or Upper Mortlock Islands group, located about 60 km to the ESE of Chuuk and 13 km NW of Losap.
