Motorsports Hall Of Fame Of America
The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America (MSHFA) is a hall of fame that honors motorsports competitors and contributors from the United States from all disciplines, with categories for Open Wheel, Stock Cars, Powerboats, Drag Racing, Motorcycles, Sports Cars, Aviation, at Large, Off-Road and Historic. Periodic recognition is given to specialty categories including Speed Records, Business and Technology. Its annual Induction Ceremony is attended by notables throughout the motorsports community and is reported on widely. History The MSHFA was incorporated in 1986 as an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by civic leaders of the City of Novi, Michigan, led by Founding Chairman Larry G. Ciancio. Barney Oldfield
Berna Eli "Barney" Oldfield (January 29, 1878 – October 4, 1946) was a pioneer American racing driver. His name was "synonymous with speed in the first two decades of the 20th century". He was the winner of the inaugural List of American open-wheel racing national champions, AAA National Championship in 1905 AAA Championship Car season, 1905. August Samuel Duesenberg (December 12, 1879 – January 18, 1955) was a German-born American automobile and engine manufacturer who built American racing and racing engines that set speed records at Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1920; won the 1921 French Grand Prix, French Grand Prix in 1921; and won Indianapolis 500-mile races (1922, 1924, 1925, and 1927), as well as setting one-hour and 24-hour speed records on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah in 1935. George Dario Marino Franchitti (born 19 May 1973) is a British motorsport commentator and retired motor racing driver from Scotland. Jack Beckman (Born June 28, 1966, at San Fernando, California and also known as Fast Jack,) is a professional drag racer currently driving for John Force Racing in the National Hot Rod Association Funny Car class. Prior to that, he raced for Don Schumacher Racing until 2020. Beckman won the Super Comp (8.90 second class) championship in 2003, his first Funny Car championship in November 2012 and achieved the third fastest Funny Car time in NHRA history in 2015.
