Møysalen
Møysalen is a mountain in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the border of Sortland Municipality and Lødingen Municipality. At tall, it is the highest mountain on the island of Hinnøya and the second highest mountain on any island in Norway. The mountain is located within Møysalen National Park, about straight east of the villages of Hennes and Kaldjorda in Hadsel Municipality. Name The name derives from the Norwegian words , which translates to maiden, and , which can be translated into either saddle or hall. South of the peak is two smaller peaks, named ''Lille Møya'' (The Small Maiden) and ''Store Møya'' (The Big Maiden), which according to local folklore were two troll maidens that were turned into stone. Møysalen is either the saddle or the roof of the hall of these two maidens. Møysalen National Park
Møysalen National Park () is a national park located on the island of Hinnøya in Nordland county, Norway. The park was established in 2003 to preserve undisturbed coastal alpine landscape. The scenery is characterized by peaks jutting out of the ocean and fjords, the highest point is the tall Møysalen mountain. The park mostly lies in Lødingen Municipality, but the far northern part crosses over into Sortland Municipality. The park is largely undisturbed from its natural state. This is one of very few national parks in Norway that goes all the way down to sea level; the ''Vestpollen'' fjord branch of the Øksfjorden is included inside the national park. The park thus also includes areas with undisturbed birch forest in addition to the mountains. There are many fens and bogs in the park, but most are not large. Hinnøya
Hinnøya ( Norwegian; ) is the fourth-largest island in Norway, and the largest outside the Svalbard archipelago. The lies just off the western coast of Northern Norway. The island sits on the border of Nordland and Troms counties. Lødingen is located on the southeastern corner of the island of Hinnøya, and is part of the Districts of Norway, traditional district of Ofoten. Kaldjorda
Kaldjorda is a village in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located along the Hadselfjorden on the island of Hinnøya. The area surrounding Kaldjorda is known as Innlandet or Hadsel Innland and it includes the neighboring villages of Hennes, Kvitnes, Kvantoelv, and Fiskfjord. There are approximately 600 people that live in the area. Kaldjorda lies at the east end of the main road, with shops, petrol stations, a quay, and a ferry terminal (with connections to Lonkan and Hanøyvika, along the E10 highway).
