Dary Myricks
Dary Myricks (born September 27, 1976 in Jackson, Georgia) is a former Arena Football League offensive lineman/defensive lineman. He played for the Carolina Cobras, the Detroit Fury, and the Georgia Force. Myricks became the head football coach for his alma mater, Jackson High, in 2013. High school years Myricks attended Jackson High School in Jackson, Georgia and lettered four times in football and three times in basketball. In football, he was a McDonald's All-America honoree and played in the North-South All-Star Game. College years Myricks attended The Citadel, and was a four-year letterman. He finished his career with 178 tackles and six sacks, and as a senior, he won first team All- Southern Conference honors. Larry Myricks
Larry Myricks (born 10 March 1956) is an American former athlete, who mainly competed in the long jump event. He is a two-time winner of the World Indoor Championships (1987, 1989) and a two-time winner of the World Cup (1979, 1989). He also won a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and bronze medals at the World Championships in 1987 and 1991. Career Myricks was born in Clinton, Mississippi. A durable jumper, he first broke onto the track scene in 1976. While competing for Mississippi College, he was the NCAA Champion in the long jump. He followed that with a second place at the U. S. Olympic Trials, beating defending Olympic champion Randy Williams in the process. At the 1976 Olympics, he broke his foot while warming up for the final and was unable to compete. His teammates Arnie Robinson and Williams finished 1 and 2. The three American jumpers had been easily the top three jumpers in qualifying. Myricks is an association community or populated place (Class Code U6) located in Berkley, Bristol County, Massachusetts. The elevation is 62 feet. Myricks appears on the Assonet U.S. Geological Survey Map. It is also the junction of the railroad from Fall River, New Bedford, and Boston on the Fall River Railroad (1846) (later the Old Colony Railroad The Old Colony Railroad (OC) was a major railroad system, mainly covering southeastern Massachusetts and parts of Rhode Island, which operated from 1845 to 1893. Old Colony trains ran from Boston to points such as Plymouth, Fall Riv ...). The Myricks railway station was a popular stop for vacationers. This stop on the line no longer exits. History The city of Shafter began as a loading dock along the Santa Fe Railroad (former San Francisco and San Joaquin Valley Railroad) right-of-way.
