The Myer Centre is a five level shopping centre in the heart of the Adelaide city centre situated along the Rundle Mall shopping precinct and North Terrace. It is owned by Starhill Global REIT and managed by CBRE. The Myer Centre is the largest shopping centre in the Adelaide city centre and houses the largest Myer store in South Australia, along with over 80 smaller shops. The Myer Centre is a multi-storied retail building located between the Queen Street Mall and Elizabeth Street in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia named after Myer, its largest tenant. It is a nine-floor shopping complex which includes Queensland's largest Myer department store. It was Australia's largest central business district retail development until 1991 when superseded by Adelaide's Myer Centre. Stores The Myer Centre is currently home to approximately 180 stores. Fort Myer is the previous name used for a U.S. Army post next to Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, and across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. Founded during the American Civil War as Fort Cass and Fort Whipple, the post merged in 2005 with the neighboring Marine Corps installation, Henderson Hall, and is today named Joint Base Myer–Henderson Hall. History In 1861, the land that Fort Myer would eventually occupy was part of the Arlington estate, which Mary Anna Custis Lee, the wife of Robert E.
