"My Side of Town" is a song by American singer Lutricia McNeal, released as the second single from her debut studio album of the same name (1997) and the follow-up to her 1996 international hit " Ain't That Just the Way". "My Side of Town" charted within the top 40 of the charts of Iceland, the Netherlands, and Sweden in 1997. In 1999, it reached number one in New Zealand. Critical reception AllMusic editor Jaime Sunao Ikeda picked "My Side of Town" as one of two standout tracks from the album. Adrian Thrills from ''Daily Mail'' described it as a "impressive on up-tempo number" and "calypso-flavoured". Chart performance "My Side of Town" did not match the chart success of " Ain't That Just the Way" in Europe, but it peaked at number 17 in the Netherlands, number 30 in Sweden, number 31 in Iceland, and number 73 in Germany. Lutricia McNeal (born November 27, 1973) is an American Soul music, soul and pop singing, singer. She achieved worldwide success with her cover version of "Ain't That Just the Way#Lutricia McNeal version, Ain't That Just the Way" which sold two million copies worldwide. Biography McNeal was discovered by Rogers/Grantham. Her career took off during a visit to Europe, when she teamed up with the Swedish producer team Rob'n'Raz. Multiple record charts have been inaugurated in Romania since the 1990s. The Romanian Top 100 was the country's national chart until 2012. Founded in 1995, it was a ranking based on the compilation of charts submitted by local Romanian radio stations. The Romanian Top 100 was published weekly and was also announced during a radio show starting in 1998. Compilation of the list was first handled by Body M Production A-V, followed by Media Forest. In the 2010s, the chart was announced during a podcast on Kiss FM (Romania), Kiss FM, but the broadcast ended in February 2012. Later that month, the Airplay 100—which was compiled by Media Forest and also broadcast by Kiss FM—replaced the Romanian Top 100 as a national chart. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged. Early on it was one of the largest newspapers in Iceland and at one point had a 64% readership in Iceland. In the 1990s its readership started to dwindle and in 2003 its publisher was declared bankrupt. It was resurrected a week later by the publisher of Fréttablaðið.
