Jennifer Alleyn
Jennifer Alleyn (born 1969) is a Canadian artist, filmmaker, writer and photographer who lives and works in Montreal. Biography The daughter of artist Edmund Alleyn, she was born in Switzerland. She studied film at Concordia University. Alleyn worked as a journalist for the newspapers ''Le Devoir'', ''Montreal Gazette'' and '' La Presse'' and for '' Elle Québec'' magazine. She travelled around the world while participating in the Radio-Canada television program '' La Course destination monde''. Jean-Claude Labrecque, (June 19, 1938 – May 31, 2019) was a Film director, director and cinematographer who learned the basics of filmmaking at the National Film Board of Canada. Career Jean-Claude Labrecque was born in Quebec City, Quebec, and trained as a camera assistant at the NFB. History and profile Founded in 1979 by Benoît Patar, ''24 images'' changed editors in 1987, with Marie-Claude Loiselle and Claude Racine assuming control. The Prix Iris for Best Documentary Film () is an annual film award presented by Québec Cinéma as part of its Prix Iris program, to honour the year's best documentary film made within the cinema of Quebec. Until 2016, it was known as the Jutra Award for Best Documentary in memory of influential Quebec film director Claude Jutra. Following the withdrawal of Jutra's name from the award, the 2016 award was presented under the name Québec Cinéma. The Prix Iris name was announced in October 2016.
