History In 2007 Cape Town began its work on the MyCiTi Integrated Rapid Transit (IRT) system to improve public transport in the city. The plan enforces an integration between modes of public transportation since both rail and bus routes are used by thousands on their daily commute. The work includes improvements in infrastructure, business development, and operations. In October 2010 the IRT project began to seek artists and designers to create artworks on thirteen of the new MyCiTi bus stations. MyCiTi
MyCiti is a bus rapid transit service with feeders, which forms part of a greater Integrated Public Transport driven economic development strategy of the City of Cape Town Municipality (CoCT) in South Africa. The service is being rolled out across the Cape Metropole, and provides a significantly enhanced public transport system in about 10% of the City. The service commenced in 2010 with Phase 1, which features buses running north to south along the west coastline of the City. By 2015 MyCiTi provided a rapid bus service between Blouberg / Table View, Atlantis, Melkbosstrand, Dunoon, Milnerton, Paarden Eiland, Century City, Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain and Cape Town Central. It also provided feeder services in most of the above areas as well as in Salt River, Walmer Estate, and all suburbs of the City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard all the way to Llandudno and Hout Bay. Julia Anastasopoulos
Julia Anastasopoulos (born 14 June 1983) is a South African artist, illustrator, designer and actress. Anastasopoulos became a local internet phenomenon in May 2014, with her do-it-yourself web series known as SuzelleDIY. Before she became a YouTube personality, Anastasopoulos created hand-drawn illustrations on the walls and windows of a few MyCiTi bus stations. Julia recently started her own show "Ridiculousness with Suzelle DIY" on Comedy Central where she features with many guests including Amore and Francois va Coke. South African Rand
The South African rand, or simply the rand, (sign: R; code: ZAR) is the official currency of the Southern African Common Monetary Area: South Africa, Namibia (alongside the Namibian dollar), Lesotho (alongside the Lesotho loti) and Eswatini (alongside the Swazi lilangeni).
