Musical Language
Musical languages are constructed languages based on musical sounds, which tend to incorporate articulation. Whistled languages are dependent on an underlying spoken languages and are used in various cultures as a means for communication over distance, or as secret codes. The mystical concept of a language of the birds tries to connect the two categories, since some authors of musical ''a priori'' languages have speculated about a mystical or primeval origin of the whistled languages. Constructed musical languages There are only a few language families as of now such as the Solresol language family, Moss language family, and Nibuzigu language family. Constructed Languages
A constructed language (shortened to conlang) is a language whose phonology, grammar, orthography, and vocabulary, instead of having developed natural language, naturally, are consciously devised for some purpose, which may include being devised for a fiction, work of fiction. A constructed language may also be referred to as an artificial, planned or invented language, or (in some cases) a fictional language. Solresol
Solresol (Solfège: G (musical note), Sol-D (musical note), Re-G (musical note), Sol), originally called Langue universelle and then Langue musicale universelle, is a Musical language, musical constructed language devised by François Sudre, beginning in 1817. His major book on it, ''Langue Musicale Universelle'', was published after his death in 1866, though he had already been publicizing it for some years. Solresol enjoyed a brief spell of popularity, reaching its pinnacle with Boleslas Gajewski's 1902 publication of ''Grammaire du Solresol''. Pidgin
A pidgin , or pidgin language, is a grammatically simplified form of contact language that develops between two or more groups of people that do not have a language in common: typically, its vocabulary and grammar are limited and often drawn from several languages. It is most commonly employed in situations such as trade, or where both groups speak languages different from the language of the country in which they reside (but where there is no common language between the groups). Magma is a French progressive rock band founded in Paris in 1969 by self-taught drummer Christian Vander, who claimed as his inspiration a "vision of humanity's spiritual and ecological future" that profoundly disturbed him. The style of progressive rock that Vander developed with Magma is termed "Zeuhl", and has been applied to other bands in France operating in the same period, and to some recent Japanese bands. Vander created a fictional language, Kobaïan, in which most lyrics are sung. Christian Vander (musician)
Christian Vander (born 21 February 1948) is a French drummer, composer, singer and founder of the progressive rock band Magma. Career Vander is known for his extended compositions, drumming, and shrill falsetto improvisational/scat singing. His music fuses jazz, rock, classical and operatic influences, and draws on the work of musicians as diverse as John Coltrane and Carl Orff. Vander regards Coltrane as his greatest musical inspiration, and dedicated his 2011 album ''John Coltrane L'Homme Suprême'' to him as a tribute. Personal life Christian Vander is the adopted child of famous French jazz piano player Maurice Vander (who was a long time sideman of singer Claude Nougaro). Most of Vander and Magma's recorded work is still available through Vander's own record label, Seventh Records.
