Musa Ahmad (Malaysian Communist)
Musa Ahmad (1921–2001) was a former chairman of the Communist Party of Malaya.http://lib.perdana.org.my/PLF/Digital_Content/NA/Newspaper/rare%20folder/STAR/Jan1981/7Jan1981/ThemakingofAKomunisLeader.pdf He joined the party in 1946 and took part in its armed struggle, also spending many years in China. In November 1980 he and his wife Zainab Mahmud surrendered to the government of Malaysia. He then returned to his home in Kampung Pari, Ipoh and spent the 1980s engaged in anti-CPM propaganda, urging his former comrades to surrender. Early life Musa was born in Kampung Pari near Ipoh, Perak in 1921. However, he did his schooling at the Sekolah Al-Mashoor religious school in Penang during the 1930s. Malayan Communist Party
The Malayan Communist Party (MCP), officially the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM), was a Marxist–Leninist and anti-imperialist communist party which was active in British Malaya and later, the modern states of Malaysia and Singapore from 1930 to 1989. It was responsible for the creation of both the Malayan Peoples' Anti-Japanese Army and the Malayan National Liberation Army. The party led resistance efforts against the Japanese occupation of Malaya and Singapore during World War II, and later fought a war of national liberation against the British Empire during the Malayan Emergency. After the departure of British colonial forces from the Federation of Malaya, the party fought in a third guerrilla campaign against both the Malaysian and Singaporean governments in an attempt to create a communist state in the region, before disbanding in 1989. Parti Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya (PKMM), also known as the Malay Nationalist Party, was founded on 17 October 1945 in Ipoh, Perak. The party was the first Malay political party formed after the Japanese occupation of Malaya. The main goal of the PKMM was to achieve full independence for Malaya and to oppose any form of British colonial rule. The five principles adopted by the PKMM were a belief in God, nationalism, sovereignty of the people, universal brotherhood and social justice. Cik Dat bin Anjang Abdullah (2 October 1923 – 13 January 2024), commonly known as Abdullah CD, was a Malaysian politician who served as chairman and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM). Early life and career Abdullah was born on 2 October 1923, in Parit, Perak, to Malay parents of Minangkabau descent. His political involvement was sparked by interest in the Maharajalela Wars against the British. As a young man, he joined the '' Kesatuan Melayu Muda'' (KMM). China Radio International (CRI) is the state-owned international radio broadcaster of China. It is currently headquartered in Babaoshan, Shijingshan, Beijing. Shamsiah Fakeh (1924 – 20 October 2008) was a Malaysian nationalist and feminist. She was the leader of Angkatan Wanita Sedar (AWAS), Malaysia's first nationalist women organisation and a prominent Malay leader of the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM). She was the grandmother of Jamaliah Jamaluddin, Member of the Selangor State Executive Council and Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Bandar Utama.
