Murray Kangaroos
The Murray Kangaroos Football Club, officially nicknamed the Kangaroos, was an Australian rules football club which competed in the Victorian Football League between 2000 and 2002. The football club was a joint venture between the North Melbourne Football Club and the Ovens and Murray Football League and served as North Melbourne's reserve side. The Ovens and Murray region was formerly zoned towards North Melbourne, and the club enjoys good support in the area. History Following season 1999, the AFL reserves competition was terminated leaving AFL clubs without a place to field their reserves players. The Kangaroos, together with the Ovens and Murray Football League launched their own stand-alone VFL club in the Victorian Football League called the Murray Kangaroos. Rodney Donald "Rod" Tregenza (born 16 January 1979) is a former Australian rules footballer. Originally playing for the South Mandurah Football Club in the Peel Football League (PFL), Tregenza was a member of 's squad for their first season in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and later also played for , winning the Bernie Naylor Medal as the leading goalkicker in the competition in 1999 and 2000. Leigh Harding
Leigh Harding (born 26 April 1981) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. He currently serves as an Offensive Skills coach at the Brisbane Lions, and also as an assistant coach of the Lions' NEAFL reserves team. Originally from Teesdale, Victoria, a small town near Bannockburn, Victoria Harding then played under-18 football with the Geelong Falcons before he moved to play with Geelong in the VFL. Selected in the 2000 rookie draft, he was elevated from the Kangaroos' rookie list in 2001, where he made his debut as a 20-year-old. A crumbing forward, Harding had the tendency to miss simple shots at goal on the run, although he had a high work rate. Paul Hamilton (Australian Footballer)
Paul Hamilton (born 19 June 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Australian Football League (AFL) during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Hamilton was a defender and usually occupied a back pocket for Essendon. After playing in a Preliminary Final in 1989, Hamilton participated in the 1990 AFL Grand Final. He brought up his 100th league game in Essendon's 1991 encounter against Carlton Football Club at Waverley Park. The 2001 Victorian Football League season was the 120th season of the Australian rules football competition. Kent Kingsley
Kent Kingsley (born 26 September 1978) is a former Australian rules footballer for the North Melbourne Football Club, the Geelong Football Club and the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Career A full-forward, Kingsley was recruited from South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club Woodville-West Torrens along with his twin brother Wade by Port Adelaide, but the brothers were quickly traded to North Melbourne for Paul Geister in 1996.
