''Murder in a Small Town'' is a Canadian crime drama series which premiered on Global in Canada, and Fox in the United States, on September 24, 2024. It is based on the Alberg and Cassandra Mysteries, a series of B.C.-set crime novels by L. R. Wright. It was filmed at Gibsons on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast. In January 2025, the series was renewed for a second season by Fox. Murder In A Small Town
''Murder in a Small Town'' is 1999 American television mystery crime thriller film produced and broadcast by A&E. The period film stars Gene Wilder as Larry "Cash" Carter, a stage director, theater manager, former actor, and unofficial consulting detective for the police department in 1930s Stamford, Connecticut. Wilder also co-wrote the film, which was the first A&E Original Movie. High ratings led A&E to plan a Cash Carter franchise, but only one sequel, ''The Lady in Question'' (1999), was produced. Gibsons
Gibsons is a coastal community of 4,605 in southwestern British Columbia, Canada on the Strait of Georgia. Although it is on the mainland, the Sunshine Coast is not accessible by road. Vehicle access is by BC Ferries from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, a 40-minute crossing; or by a ferry from Powell River to Earls Cove, north of Sechelt. The town is also accessible by water, by float plane to the harbour, and by small aircraft to Sechelt Airport, approx. 20 km to the northwest.
