Muppet Treasure Island (video Game)
''Muppet Treasure Island'' is a CD-ROM game for Windows, produced in 1996 by Activision in association with Jim Henson Interactive to tie in with the release of ''Muppet Treasure Island''. Gameplay The player controls Hawkins, who leaves the Admiral Benbow Inn to sail to Treasure Island. Gonzo the Great, Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat, Rizzo accompany the player, as well as Stevenson the Parrot, a new Muppet character who provides hints throughout the game. The Muppet characters are video clips overlaid on an animated background. Development The game's voice cast includes: Frank Oz, Steve Whitmire, Dave Goelz, Jerry Nelson, Kevin Clash, Bill Barretta, Bruce Lanoil, John Kennedy (puppeteer), John Kennedy, Louise Gold, and Mark Mansfield. Jerry Nelson
Jerry L. Nelson (July 10, 1934 – August 23, 2012) was an American puppeteer, best known for his work with The Muppets. Renowned for his wide range of characters and singing abilities, he performed Muppet characters on ''Sesame Street'', '' The Muppet Show'', '' Fraggle Rock'', and various Muppet movies and specials. Career On ''Sesame Street'', Nelson's longest-running character was Count von Count, the counting vampire who takes delight in counting anything (and everything) he can. Nelson did the voice and puppetry for the Count from 1972 until 2004 and continued to provide the Count's voice until his death in 2012. GameRankings was a video gaming review aggregator that was founded in 1999 and owned by CBS Interactive. It indexed over 315,000 articles relating to more than 14,500 video games. GameRankings was discontinued in December 2019, with its staff being merged with the similar aggregator Metacritic. Rankings GameRankings collected and linked to (but did not host) reviews from other websites and magazines and averages specific ones. While hundreds of reviews may get listed, only the ones that GameRankings deemed notable were used for the average. Scores were culled from numerous American and European sources. The site used a percentage grade for all reviews in order to be able to calculate an average. COMDEX (an abbreviation of COMputer Dealers' EXhibition) was a computer expo trade show held in the Las Vegas Valley of Nevada, United States, each November from 1979 to 2003. It was one of the largest computer trade shows in the world, usually second only to the German CeBIT, and one of the largest trade shows in any industry sector. COMDEX exhibitions were held in many other countries from 1982 to 2005, with 185 shows altogether. Sir William Connolly (born 24 November 1942) is a Scottish actor, retired comedian, artist, writer, musician, and presenter. He is sometimes known, especially in his homeland, by the Scots nickname the Big Yin ("the Big One"). Louise Gold (born 1956) is an English puppeteer, actress and singer whose career has spanned more than four decades.
