Mujib Coat
The Mujib coat () is a tailored Coat (clothing), coat for men, designed as an arms cut-off (sleeveless), high-necked coat with two pockets in lower part and five or six buttons. This used to be the signature garment worn by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of the Bangladesh, People's Republic of Bangladesh. History The Mujib coat is a transformation of the Nehru jacket, which used to wear by Jawaharlal Nehru, the prime minister of India from 1947 to 1964. It is claimed by many that the coat worn by Sheikh Mujibur, known as the Mujib Coat, had six buttons which concurred with the Six point movement, Six-point charter of 1966. The Agartala Conspiracy Case was a sedition case in Pakistan during the rule of Ayub Khan (general), Ayub Khan against Awami League, brought by the government of Pakistan in 1968 against Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the then leader of the Awami League (Pakistan), Awami League and East Pakistan, and 34 other people. Kamal Hossain
Kamal Hossain (born 20 April 1937), better known as Dr. Kamal, is a founding leader, lawyer and politician of Bangladesh. He is known as the "Father of the Bangladeshi Constitution" and regarded as an icon of secular democracy in the Indian subcontinent. Hossain currently heads his own law firm in Dhaka. He retired from political activities and from the post of president of Gano Forum in October 2023.
