Muhammad Rashid Khan
Muhammad Rashid Khan (born 26 October 1952) is a Pakistani athlete. He competed in the men's javelin throw at the 1984 Summer Olympics. At the 1987 South Asian Games, Khan won the javelin in a Games record of 71.92 metres, which still stands for the old javelin model. The 1984 Summer Olympics (officially the Games of the XXIII Olympiad and also known as Los Angeles 1984) were an international multi-sport event held from July 28 to August 12, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States. It marked the second time that Los Angeles had hosted the Games, the first being in 1932. California was the home state of the incumbent U.S. President Ronald Reagan, who officially opened the Games. The 1987 South Asian Games, officially the 3rd South Asian Federation Games were a multi-sport event, held in Kolkata, India from 20 November to 27 November 1987. It was the largest sporting event ever to be held in Kolkata, and West Bengal as a whole. This was also the first time when India hosted these Games. The games were opened by Indian president R.
