Muhammad Musa'ad
Muhammad Abud Musa'ad (born 22 July 1965) is an Indonesian academician and bureaucrat who is serving as the Governor of Southwest Papua in an acting capacity since 9 December 2022. He also held office in the Ministry of Investment as the minister's expert staff for competitiveness improvement. Musaad was previously head of Papua's Regional Development Planning Agency from 2014 until 2019 and Second Assistant to the Papuan Regional Secretary from 2020 until 2022. He was also a lecturer in the Cenderawasih University, with his last position in the university being the head of the university's democratic center. Early life and education Musa'ad was born on 22 July 1965 in Fakfak, Irian Jaya (now Papua). His father, Abud Musa'ad, was of Arab descent and owned a construction agency in Geser, Seram Island, while his mother originated from Fakfak. Southwest Papua
Southwest Papua ( id, Papua Barat Daya) is a province of Indonesia, and is a fraction of Western New Guinea. Despite being named southwest, it is a misnomer and this province is actually located in the northwest edge of Papua. The area that belongs to this province includes the Greater Sorong area which consists of Sorong City, Sorong Regency, South Sorong Regency, Maybrat Regency, Tambrauw Regency, and Raja Ampat Regency. Cenderawasih University ( id, Universitas Cenderawasih) is a university in Jayapura, Papua province, Indonesia. The university is the leading educational institution in the province. The university has faculties in economics, law, teacher training and education, medical, engineering, and social and political science. Until 2002 the university had a faculty of agricultural sciences at Manokwari, which was then separated to form the Universitas Negeri Papua. The university is divided into two areas: mainly the "Kampus lama" (old campus) which is in the Jayapura suburb of Abepura and the "Kampus baru" (new campus) which is in the hillside of Waena valley. Waropen Regency
Waropen Regency is one of the regencies (''kabupaten'') in Papua Province, Indonesia. The Regency covers an area of 10,847.97 km2, and it had a population of 24,639 at the 2010 Census and 33,943 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as at mid 2021 was 34,414.
