''Mr. Wizard'' is an album by the American musician R. L. Burnside, released in 1997. The cover art is by Derek Hess. The album peaked at No. 12 on ''Billboard''s Top Blues Albums chart. Burnside supported the album with a North American tour. Production The album was recorded in part by Matthew Johnson, at Lunati Farms, in Mississippi, and by Rob Schnapf and Tom Rothrock, at Bongload Custom Records, in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles tracks were recorded live and without overdubbing. The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion backed Burnside on two tracks. McKinley Morganfield (April 4, 1913April 30, 1983), better known as Muddy Waters, was an American blues singer-songwriter and musician who was an important figure in the post-World War II blues scene, and is often cited as the "father of modern Chicago blues".
