Mr. Belvedere Rings The Bell
''Mr. Belvedere Rings the Bell'' is a 1951 American comedy film, the third and final one starring Clifton Webb as Lynn Belvedere. It follows on from '' Sitting Pretty'' (1948) and '' Mr. Belvedere Goes to College'' (1949). Plot Mr. Belvedere is on a lecture tour on the topic "How to be young, though 80." He wonders if there is any point in living to be 80 himself after overhearing four residents of the Church of John old age home talk about their ailments. He decides to embark on an investigation at the home. When he goes to see Bishop Daniels about gaining entry, he is mistaken for Oliver Erwenter, who had applied for admission, but died at age 77. He does not correct the mistake since only the aged are admitted. Henry Koster
Henry Koster (born Hermann Kosterlitz, May 1, 1905 – September 21, 1988) was a German-born film director. He was the husband of actress Peggy Moran. Early life Koster was born to Jewish parents in Berlin, Germany. He was introduced to cinema about 1910 when his uncle opened a movie theater in Berlin. Koster's mother played the piano to accompany the films, leaving the young boy to occupy himself by watching the films. After working initially as a short story writer, Kosterlitz was hired by a Berlin movie company as scenarist, becoming an assistant to director Curtis Bernhardt. Ray Montgomery (May 27, 1922 – June 4, 1998) was an American actor. Biography Academics He graduated from Los Angeles High School in June 1940. Upon graduation from high school, he studied journalism at the University of Southern California. Guy Owen Wilkerson (December 21, 1899 – July 15, 1971) was an American actor, known primarily for his roles in Western B movies, who with his tall, lanky frame, he often played sidekick or comedy relief parts. Biography Wilkseron was born December 21, 1899, in Whitewright, Texas. He was a former vaudevillian and burlesque performer when he began making films in 1937. He was one-third of the Texas Rangers in the Rangers series of films, alongside Dave O'Brien in all 22 of the film's series from 1942 to 1945.
