Mountain View Farm (Plainview, Arkansas)
Mountain View Farm is a historic farm property in rural Yell County, Arkansas. It is located at the eastern end of County Road 218, south of Plainview. The main house is a two-story American Foursquare structure, built out of brick and covered by a hip roof. A two-story porch extends across the front, with spindled balustrades and exposed rafters. It was built in 1917 for Richard Tippy (CR 218 is also known as Tippy Lane), and is one of the finest period farmhouses in the Plainview area. Mountain View Farm (Dublin, New Hampshire)
Mountain View Farm is a historic farmhouse on Close Road, off Upper Jaffrey Road in Dublin, New Hampshire. Built about 1780 and enlarged in 1903, it encapsulates both Dublin's early residential history, and its early 20th-century period as a summer retreat area. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Description and history Mountain View Farm stands in an isolated rural setting south of Dublin village, on the eastern slope of Mount Monadnock. It is at the end of Close Road, its access drive from Upper Jaffrey Road. The house consists of two parts. The main portion is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a gabled roof and clapboarded exterior. It has a nearly symmetrical six-bay facade, with a hip-roofed single-story porch extending across its width, and three gabled dormers projecting from the roof. Mountain View Stock Farm, now known as Tylord Farm, is a historic estate farm on Vermont Route 22A in Benson, Vermont. Developed in the early 20th century around a late 18th-century farmhouse, the farm was renowned in the state for its breeding of Kentucky saddle horses and Chester White hogs. The farm complex also has architecturally distinctive Colonial Revival styling. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. Description and history Mountain View Stock Farm is located east of the central village of Benson, on a property roughly bisected by Vermont Route 22A, the main north-south route through the community. Mountain View Farm, also known as Spencer Plantation and Mountain View Farm at Rebec Vineyards, is a historic home and farm located near Clifford, Amherst County, Virginia. The property includes an 18th-century mansion, built about 1777, a 19th-century cottage and five other supporting buildings. The main house is a standard timber frame, two-story, three-bay, I-house with a rear ell addition. It is sheathed in weatherboard with end chimneys. It was moved to its present site in 1831. The cottage is a one-room building with a lean-to shed addition. It was originally used as a doctor's office by Dr. Paul Carrington Cabell, and probably dates to the 1830s or 40s.
