Mosque Of Lima
The Mosque of Lima, also known as the Mosque of Magdalena del Mar, is a mosque in Lima, Peru. It is one of two mosques in the country, the other being Bab al-Islam Mosque. It was erected in the areas of a mansion in 1986 by the Palestinian community in the city's Magdalena del Mar district. The religious building is open to the general public. History In 1986 Miguel Abdalá Hamideh, a Palestinian businessman, donated his home to the Muslim community in Peru that saw its image affected by the actions of the Arab-Israeli conflict, at the same time also to provide an opening for Palestinian refugees arriving in Lima. Magdalena Del Mar District
Magdalena del Mar, also known simply as Magdalena, is a seaside district of Lima Province in Peru and one of the districts that comprise the city of Lima. Its current mayor is Francis Allison Oyague. Magdalena was officially established as a district on May 10, 1920. Geography With a total land area of 3.61 km2, Magdalena borders the districts of San Miguel on the west, Pueblo Libre and Jesús María on the north, San Isidro on the east, and the Pacific Ocean on the south. For more than fifty years, the eastern border of the district has been disputed with neighboring San Isidro. A musalla () is a space apart from a mosque, mainly used for prayer in Islam. The word is derived from the verb (''ṣallā''), meaning "to pray". Church Of The Immaculate Heart Of Mary (Lima)
The Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (), commonly known as The Dome (), is a Catholic church located in the intersection of Antonio José de Sucre Avenue and Jirón 28 de Julio, in Magdalena del Mar District, Lima, Peru. The work was conceived by the Claretian priest Simón Llobet. Since 1957, the year of its inauguration, it has become one of the most visible religious and architectural symbols of the city despite its great demographic growth. It is the tallest church in Lima. The works were financed through donations and charitable events. Avenida Alfonso Ugarte
Alfonso Ugarte Avenue (), formerly known as the Alameda/Avenida de Circunvalación and as Bolognesi Avenue, is a major avenue located in the historic Centre of Lima. It begins in the Puente del Ejército and crosses the Plaza Ramón Castilla and Plaza Dos de Mayo, continuing until it reaches the Plaza Bolognesi.
