Morgan Hill is a city in Santa Clara County, California, at the southern tip of Silicon Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area. Morgan Hill is an affluent residential community, the seat of several high-tech companies, and a dining and recreational destination, owing to its luxury hospitality, wineries, and nature parks. History Prior to the arrival of Spanish colonists, Santa Clara Valley had been inhabited by the Tamien nation of Ohlone people for more than 6,000 years. In that area, the Matalan tribe lived in a hunter-gatherer society. Before the area was colonized as part of the Alta California province of the Viceroyalty of New Spain, the 1772 Spanish expedition led by Pedro Fages and Father Juan Crespí, the two explorers camped in the area around Morgan Hill alongside Llagas Creek. Morgan Hill is a suburban unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,034. Morgan Hill is part of the Lehigh Valley metropolitan area, which had a population of 861,899 and was the 68th-most populous metropolitan area in the U.S. as of the 2020 census. Geography Morgan Hill is located in southeastern Northampton County, in the northeastern part of Williams Township. It sits atop Morgan Hill, which rises to an elevation greater than above sea level in the west. The eastern part of the community is occupied by Morgan Hill Golf Course and associated housing. Morgan Hill Road crosses the center of the CDP, leading north into Easton and southwest into Stouts Valley. Morgan Hill Farm
Morgan Hill Farm, also known as Morgan's Fresh or Hill Farm, is a historic home located at Lusby, Calvert County, Maryland. It is a -story gable-roofed frame house of a T-shaped plan, with single exterior chimneys on each of the three exposed ends. The original building appears to have been built about 1700, with extensively remodeled in the early 19th century. In 1952 a large rear wing was added to the house. Outbuildings include a one-story log servants' quarter, a log smokehouse, and a large tobacco barn. Phillip Morgan received the original land grant in 1651, under the name Morgan's Fresh. Morgan, a captain in the Puritan Militia and a locally prominent man, and sold the property in 1670 to Robert Day. In 1836 the property was sold by Day's descendants to Richard Breeden, who was probably responsible for the extensive renovations made to the house in the early 19th century and renamed the property Hill Farm. Morgan Hill Station
Morgan Hill station is a Caltrain station located in the downtown area of Morgan Hill, California. The station is only served during weekday peak hours, with northbound trains in the morning and southbound trains in the evening. The original Southern Pacific station opened in 1899 as Morganhill. The railroad closed the station in November 1958. VTA rebuilt the station for an extension to Caltrain in 1992. Service between San Jose and Gilroy, including Morgan Hill station, was increased to four weekday round trips on September 25, 2023.
