The Monty (formerly known as The Full Monty) is a UK-based party covers band from Chobham, Surrey Chobham is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Surrey Heath in Surrey, England. The village has a small high street area, specialising in traditional trades and motor trades. The River Bourne and its northern tributary, the Hale .... The Monty was formed in 1998 to help raise money for a charity at their local rugby club in Chobham. Their first gig helped raise a substantial amount for the charity, and se the band on the road to success. Their first gig attracted critical acclaim, and in came the offers for more gigs. Jacques Bulostin (born 18 February 1943), known in his singing career as Monty and later as Jacques Monty, is a French singer, songwriter and record producer. Biography Born in Chezal-Benoît, Cher, he learned piano and studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and Académie de la Grande Chaumière, but aspired to become a singer and songwriter. In 1963, he signed for the Barclay record label, where he was given the stage name of Monty. He quickly became one of the most successful male singers in France during the era of yé-yé music, touring with Claude François, and had hits from 1964 including "Même si je suis fou", "Un verre de whisky" (based on the Marvin Gaye song "Can I Get a Witness"), and "Ce n'est pas vrai". Many of his hit singles were arranged by Jacques Loussier. Monty Oxymoron (born Laurence Burrow; 27 September 1961 in Cambridge, England) is a keyboardist for the English punk rock group the Damned. Biography His previous bands include Punk Floyd and Dr. Spacetoad Experience, with Captain Sensible. He released a few solo projects in the 1980s and 2000s. He joined the Damned in early 1996 and continues to tour and record with them. Monty also works as keyboardist and percussionist with the Sumerian Kyngs and as keyboardist with Tim Burness. He has spoken of love of psychedelic music, whose influence he claims to have heard in pre-Oxymoron Damned albums beginning with 1979's ''Machine Gun Etiquette''. In 2007, along with Damned bandmate Sensible, he attended a memorial to Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett. In the 1980s, he trained as a psychiatric nurse and has worked as a nurse part time since then. ''Monty'' is an American sitcom that aired on Fox from January 11 to February 15, 1994. The series starred Henry Winkler as Monty Richardson, a loud, obnoxious conservative TV commentator. Richardson had also written a best-selling book titled'' I'm Right. I'm Right. I'm Right. Shut Up''. The series also starred Tom McGowan as his executive producer and David Schwimmer as his left-leaning son. Severe Tropical Cyclone Monty was a powerful category 4 tropical cyclone that formed during late February 2004. Monty was the 6th tropical cyclone and the 3rd Severe tropical cyclone of the 2003-04 Australian region cyclone season. Monty made landfall in a large, sparsely populated region of the Pilbara, Western Australia. Due to the low population, damages inland were not high, although there was major flooding and many roads were impassable because they were flooded or washed away by water. Monty set record high amounts of flooding in some parts of Western Australia. Meteorological history A low pressure area tracked westwards over Pilbara.
