Catalonia is (as of 2018) divided into 947 Municipalities of Spain, municipalities. Each municipality typically represents one significant urban settlement, of any size from village to city, with its surrounding land. This is not always the case, though. Josa I Tuixén
Josa i Tuixén or Josa i Tuixent is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Alt Urgell in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the southern side of the Pyrenean range of Serra del Cadí in the east of the ''comarca''. The ''ajuntament'' (town hall) is located in Tuixén. Local roads link the municipality with La Seu d'Urgell and with Sant Llorenç de Morunys. It is a centre for Nordic skiing. Bagà
Bagà is a Spanish municipality located in the comarca of Berguedà, in Catalonia. Traditionally, Bagà is considered the capital of ''Alt Berguedà'', the mountainous northern half of the comarca. Location Bagà is located at the head of the valley of the Llobregat river, at the feet of the high mountains of the Cadí range. The town itself is at 785 metres above sea level. Bagà is 20 kilometers to the north of Berga, and 7.5 kilometers to the south of the ''Túnel del Cadí'', a tunnel which crosses the Cadí range, connecting with the region of la Cerdanya. Gisclareny is a municipality in the comarca of Berguedà, Catalonia, located in Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. 2018 it again became the smallest village in Catalonia after the village of Sant Jaume de Frontanyà grew by 3 families. The altitude of the inhabited space varies between 800 meters in the neighborhood of Bagà and 1430 in the neighborhood of Coll de la Bena. It is bounded on the north by the Cerdanya, reaching the peaks of the Serra del Cadí, and by Bagà, on the south and west by Saldes and Vallcebre, and on the east by Bagà and Guardiola de Berguedà. Cerdanya () or often La Cerdanya ( la, Ceretani or ''Ceritania''; french: Cerdagne; es, Cerdaña), is a natural comarca and historical region of the eastern Pyrenees divided between France and Spain. Historically it was one of the counties of Catalonia. Cerdanya has a land area of , divided almost evenly between Spain (50.3%) and France (49.7%). In 2001 its population was approximately 26,500, of whom 53% lived on Spanish territory. Its population density is 24 residents per km² (63 per sq. mile). The only urban area in Cerdanya is the cross-border urban area of Puigcerdà- Bourg-Madame, which contained 10,900 inhabitants in 2001.
