Monsters And Men
''Monsters and Men'' is a 2018 American drama film written and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green. It was screened in the U.S. Dramatic Competition section at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. It was released on September 28, 2018, by Neon. Although not explicitly stated, the plot shows a similarity with the killing of Eric Garner incident, by which the film was inspired. Plot The film tells the stories of three principal characters: Manny, Dennis and Zyrick. It begins with Dennis Williams being pulled over by police but let go because he is a cop himself. Reinaldo Marcus Green
Reinaldo Marcus Green (born December 16, 1981) is an American director, producer and writer. His films include ''Monsters and Men'' (2018), '' Joe Bell'' (2020), and '' Bob Marley: One Love'' (2024). His 2021 film ''King Richard'' was nominated for Best Picture at the 94th Academy Awards. Early life Green was born in the Bronx to an African American father and a Puerto Rican mother and grew up in Staten Island among other areas of New York City. His parents divorced, and he and his brother Rashaad primarily lived with their father. They played baseball growing up and had MLB ambitions. Green attended Port Richmond High School. He went on to complete a Master of Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and taught at an elementary school. Bodega (store)
A bodega is a small owner-operated convenience store serving hot and prepared food, often open late hours and typically with ethnic market influences. The NYC Department of Health defines a bodega as any store of sufficient size "that sells milk, meat or eggs but is not a specialty store (bakery, butcher, chocolate shop, etc) and doesn't have more than two cash registers". Metacritic is an American website that aggregates reviews of films, television shows, music albums, video games, and formerly books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average). Rotten Tomatoes is an American review aggregator, review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang.
