The Vanderyst worm lizard (''Monopeltis vanderysti''), also known Common name, commonly as Vanderyst's worm lizard, is a species of amphisbaenian in the Family (biology), family Amphisbaenidae. The species is native to Central Africa. There are two recognized subspecies. Animals make use of a variety of modes of reproduction to produce their young.
