''Moment in the Sun'' is an EP by indie rock band Clem Snide. The release was intended to capitalize on the success of the song "Moment in the Sun," which was featured as the theme song to the NBC program '' Ed'' during its second season. Clem Snide
Clem Snide is an alt-country band featuring Eef Barzelay (guitar, vocals), Brendan Fitzpatrick (bass) and Ben Martin (drums). History "Clem Snide" is a character in several novels by William S. Burroughs, including ''Naked Lunch'', ''The Ticket That Exploded'' and ''Exterminator!''. The band Clem Snide was started by songwriter and singer Eef Barzelay, Jason Glasser, William J. Grabek Jr., and drummer Eric Paull in Boston in 1991. A few years later, with the addition of bassist Jeff "SweetBread" Marshall, the band made its first record, '' You Were a Diamond'', with producer Adam Lasus. After building up a local following they attracted the attention of Seymour Stein, who then signed them to the Sire label for whom they recorded '' Your Favorite Music'' in 1999. A couple years later Clem Snide released their third album '' The Ghost of Fashion'' on indie stalwart SpinArt Records. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. SpinART Records was a New York City-based independent record label that released recordings by The Apples in Stereo, Clem Snide, Frank Black, and Michael Penn. The label was started by Joel Morowitz and Jeff Price in 1991. SpinART filed for bankruptcy in April 2007 and went out of business. As of 2013, Jeff Price is founder and CEO of digital music auditing company Audiam. Joel Morowitz is the owner of Ecstatic Electric Pro Audio. ''Ed'' is an American comedy-drama television series that was co-produced by David Letterman's Worldwide Pants Incorporated, NBC Productions and Viacom Productions that aired on NBC from October 8, 2000, to February 6, 2004. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings.
