Mohammad Saba'aneh
Mohammad Saba'aneh ( ar, محمد سباعنة ) (born in Jenin district in 1978) is a Palestinian cartoonist and caricaturist from Jenin district. He has been an active member in the Cartoon Movement since August 24, 2009. Saba'aneh is a cartoonist for Al-Hayat al-Jadida, the official newspaper of the Palestinian Authority and also works at the Arab American University in Jenin on the West Bank. He is a former political prisoner in Israel. Work In September 2021, Saba'aneh released ''Power Born of Dreams: My Story is Palestine'', a book that later won the 2022 Palestine Book Award. Jenin District
The Jenin Governorate ( ar, محافظة جنين, Muḥāfaẓat Ǧanīn) is one of 16 Governorates of Palestine. It covers the northern extremity of the West Bank, including the area around the city of Jenin. Cartoon Movement is a business that offers a global online platform for editorial cartoons and comics journalism. Based in The Hague, Netherlands, Cartoon Movement receives between 60 and 100 cartoons each day from over 220 freelance cartoonists in over 80 countries. The Middle East Monitor (MEMO) is a not-for-profit press monitoring organisation and lobbying group that emerged in mid 2009.
