Mohammad Ali (Kenyan Politician)
Hon. Mohamed, Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu, is a Kenyan politician, media personality and anchor. He is a current member of parliament for Nyali Constituency in Mombasa County under UDA ticket. He first contested for the seat in 2017 as an Independent candidate. He is a former chief investigative editor at Kenya Television Network (KTN). He had an expansive media career having worked in various stations as a reporter. Early years Ali was born on August 4, 1979 in Isiolo County. Education In 2000–2002 he attended News Link College of Journalism for his diploma in journalism. He furthered his education at Moi University where he acquired a bachelor of science (BSc), communication and public relations. Kenya Television Network (KTN) is a Kenyan free-to-air television network that was launched in March 1990 by Jared Kangwana. It is headquartered at Standard Group Centre, Nairobi. It was the first free-to-air privately owned television network in Africa, and the first to break KBC's monopoly in Kenya. KTN became famous for activist journalism in the 1990s. Isiolo County
Isiolo County is a county in the former Eastern Province of Kenya. Its population is 268,002 (2019 census) and its capital and largest city is Isiolo. Isiolo County is to be the first county to be developed as part of the Kenya Vision 2030 program. Other upcoming urban centres are: Garbatulla, Modogashe, Kinna, Merti and Oldonyiro. The local topography is arid or semi-arid low plains. Ewaso Nyiro River flows through the county and partly bounds it. It borders Marsabit County to the north, Wajir County to the east, Garissa and Tana River counties to the south east, Meru County to the south, Laikipia County to the south west and Samburu County to the west. Moi University is a public university located in Kesses, Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county, in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya. It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of the Parliament of Kenya, after recommendations from the McKay Commission. Kenya Broadcasting Corporation
Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is the state-run media organisation of Kenya. It broadcasts in English and Swahili, as well as in most local languages of Kenya. The corporation started its life in 1928 when Kenya was a British colony. It was the first station in Kenya. In 1964, when Kenya became an independent country, the corporation's name was changed to Voice of Kenya. In 1989, the Kenyan parliament reverted the corporation's name from Voice of Kenya to Kenya Broadcasting Corporation. During the rule of president Daniel arap Moi, KBC became the mouthpiece of the government. Each broadcast opened with a piece on what the president had been doing that day.
