Sayed Moazzem Hossain
Syed Moazzem Hossain (1901–1991) was a Bangladeshi academic and Islamic scholar. He served as the vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka. Early life and education Hossain was born on 1 August 1901, to a Bengali Muslim family of Syeds in the village of Baniara in Mirzapur, Tangail District. He earned his Master's in Arabic from the University of Dhaka in 1924. He then joined the same university as a research scholar in Bangla. In 1926, he went to Oxford University to obtain D Phil and D Litt degrees, writing his thesis on classical Arabic poetry. He then earned his LLD degree from Dalhousie University in 1949. Career He joined as a reader in the Department of Arabic at the University of Dhaka in 1930. Mohammad Moazzem Hossain
Mohammad Moazzem Hossain is a Bangladeshi educationist who was killed in the Bangladesh Liberation war by Razakars. He is considered a martyr in Bangladesh. Early life Hossain was born in Badokhali, Bagerhat sadar, Bagerhat, East Bengal, British India on 1 December 1932. He graduated from Kajdia High Madrasa in 1948, and completed his BA in 1952 from Government P.C. College, Bagerhat. In 1954, he received his M.A. in economics from University of Dhaka. Career In 1954 Hossain joined the Chitalmari High School as its headmaster. In 1955, he joined the Government P.C. College as an economics lecturer. By 1971 he was the head of the college's economics department. On 25 March 1971, the Bangladesh Liberation war started. Moazzem Hossain was a Pakistan Navy Lieutenant Commander and an accused of the Agartala Conspiracy Case. He was killed by the Pakistan Army during Bangladesh Liberation war. Early life He was born on 17 September 1932 in Dumuritala, Pirojpur, East Bengal. His father was Mofazzel Ali and his mother was Latifunnesa Begum. He graduated from Kachua High School. Shah Moazzem Hossain
Shah Moazzem Hossain (known as SM Hossain; 10 January 1939 – 14 September 2022) was a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the last deputy prime minister of Bangladesh. He was elected as the Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Rangpur-6 constituency as a Jatiya Party candidate in a by-election in September 1991 and served until November 1995.
