MoGo (bike Share)
MoGo is a public Bicycle-sharing system, bicycle-sharing system in Detroit. In operation since 2017, MoGo is owned by a nonprofit organization of the same name, headquartered at One Campus Martius in downtown Detroit. History Planning began in 2012 to establish a bicycle-sharing system in Detroit, headed by Lisa Nuskowski, the eventual founder of Detroit Bike Share. The system, eventually named MoGo, commenced operations on May 23, 2017, with a ceremonial ride in which cyclists rode the system's 300 original bicycles from a central location to their assigned docking stations across the city. The system's ridership exceeded expectations, logging 100,000 rides within its first six months of operation. A bicycle-sharing system, bike share program, public bicycle scheme, or public bike share (PBS) scheme, is a shared transport service where bicycles are available for shared use by individuals at low cost. The programmes themselves include both docking and dockless systems, where docking systems allow users to rent a bike from a dock, i.e., a technology-enabled bicycle rack and return at another node or dock within the system – and dockless systems, which offer a node-free system relying on smart technology. In either format, systems may incorporate smartphone web mapping to locate available bikes and docks. In July 2020, Google Maps began including bike share systems in its route recommendations. Corktown is a neighborhood located in Detroit, Michigan. It is the oldest extant neighborhood in the city. The current boundaries of the district include I-75 to the north, the John C. Transit is a mobile app providing real-time public transit data. The app functions in over 871 metropolitan areas across 25 countries around the world. Description Transit was designed for aggregating and mapping real-time public transit data as well as crowdsourcing user data to determine the true location of buses and trains. Transit was first released in 2012 for iPhone and soon after launched the Android-compatible version. Transit offers users schedules and alerts for multiple modes of transportation where available, including bus and rail. Transit was developed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada by Sam Vermette and Guillaume Campagna with the goal of minimizing the need for individuals to own vehicles in cities. Recumbent Bicycle
A recumbent bicycle is a bicycle that places the rider in a laid-back reclining position, and often called a Human-powered_land_vehicle, human-powered vehicle or HPV, especially if it has an aerodynamic fairing.
