''Mo' Mega'' is the second solo studio album by American hip hop artist Mr. Lif. It was released by Definitive Jux on June 13, 2006. It peaked at number 27 on the ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Albums chart, as well as number 31 on the Independent Albums chart. Title In the album's liner notes, Mr. Lif wrote: Critical reception At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 75, based on 22 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews". John Bush of AllMusic gave the album 3.5 stars out of 5, saying: "With political tracks and comedy and confessionals, Lif easily covers more ground than virtually any other rapper on record, and he makes his tracks entertaining, but he occasionally falls prey to a common trap -- educating the listeners but not enlightening them." ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Schreiber started Pitchfork while working at a record store in suburban Minneapolis, and the website earned a reputation for its extensive coverage of indie rock music. It has since expanded and covers all kinds of music, including pop. Pitchfork was sold to Condé Nast in 2015, although Schreiber remained its editor-in-chief until he left the website in 2019. Michelle Shaprow (SHAP-row) is an American dance pop and jazz singer and songwriter. She has released three albums. DJ Big Wiz
Hail Mary Mallon was an American hip-hop group consisting of Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, and DJ Big Wiz. The group's name is a reference to Typhoid Mary. Their first release was the song "D-Up", featured on the compilation album, ''Definitive Jux Presents 4''. History Aesop Rock and Rob Sonic first heard of each other in the mid to late 1990s through the New York City hip hop scene. Soon after, the two would become label mates on El-P's independent hip hop label Definitive Jux, with DJ Big Wiz contributing to Aesop Rock and Rob Sonic's earlier albums. Mike Relm
Michael Wong (born 1978), better known by his stage name Mike Relm, is an American disc jockey, turntablist, director, and VJ from San Francisco, California. Biography He has performed with notable hip-hop artists The Pharcyde, Lyrics Born, Money Mark, Gift of Gab, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Mike Patton, and D-Sharp. In 1999 he won the International Turntablist Federation's USA competition. More recently he toured as part of Mike Patton's Peeping Tom project. Jared Bridgeman, better known by his stage name Akrobatik, is an American rapper from the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. He is also a part of the hip hop collective named The Perceptionists with Mr. Lif and DJ Fakts One, which released '' Black Dialogue'' in 2005. Blueprint (rapper)
Albert Shepard, (born July 11, 1974), better known by his stage name Blueprint, is an American rapper from Columbus, Ohio. He is a founder of Weightless Recordings. Blueprint is one half of the duo Soul Position along with producer RJD2. He is also a member of the rap group Greenhouse (formerly known as Greenhouse Effect), which currently consists of himself and Illogic.
